About TrueNorth

A Calgary pilot for practical, sustainable, community-driven cleaning.

We're building a refill-based cleaning products brand that starts small in Calgary, tests the model locally, and expands into Alberta communities through small refill and packaging units.

Brand story

Not a chemical brand — a community network.

TrueNorth Cleaning Solutions started with a simple observation: the cleaning industry ships a lot of water around, packages everything in single-use plastic, and rarely creates meaningful local work.

We think there's a better model. Source concentrates, tablets, or refill pouches. Mix and package locally. Employ people in your own city. Sell to households and businesses at a fair, recurring price. Refill. Repeat.

The pilot starts with three high-demand products — multipurpose cleaner, floor cleaner, and dishwashing liquid — built around a flexible, task-based workforce of seniors, youth, and community ambassadors.

The problem

Five real problems we're trying to solve at once.

Cleaning products are mostly water

Pre-mixed bottles are roughly 90% water — we ship water across the country, then pay to recycle the plastic.

Plastic packaging adds up

Single-use bottles create real environmental pressure and curbside-recycling overload.

Seniors need flexible work

Many active seniors want meaningful, low-physical work close to home, on their own schedule.

Youth need first-job experience

Students and young workers struggle to find practical work that actually builds a resume.

Small businesses need affordable supply

Restaurants, mosques, schools, salons and offices are squeezed by cleaning product costs.

Our solution

A refill-focused, locally-packaged loop.

Lower shipping waste. Lower packaging waste. Local production. Community employment. Affordable cleaning products. A recurring refill model.
